We've compiled some commonly asked questions below. If you cannot find your answer here then please give us a call and we'd be delighted to discuss any aspect of our service with you.

Who is eligible for the service?

Home Visiting services are available to patients who are housebound or do not go out unaccompanied.

Of these patients the eye examination is Free to:

  • All over 60 years old
  • Diabetics
  • Those with Glaucoma
  • Receiving Income Support

Can a friend, family member or carer be present?

Eye examinations can be carried out privately, or with friends, family members or carers present.

Do I need to provide anything for the visit?

No. All necessary equipment is brought with us.

How will I collect my glasses?

A full aftercare service is provided, including the delivery and fitting of your glasses.

What if there's a problem with my eyes?

Eye examinations check for health issues including diabetes, glaucoma and macular degeneration. Any problems will be referred to your GP.

Will I receive a record of my examination?

Written reports of your examination are available when required.
